HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

So, I obviously have the best clients. Everyone is always so trusting and up for whatever I suggest. But Madison here might take the cake for my bravest client ever when she signed up for snowy Old Town Alexandria headshots!
I’ve known Madison for about two and a half years now. She and I joined a networking group around the same time, and I was so excited she was there! She and I are somewhat close in age and have very similar clients, so we were natural referral partners for each other. You see, Madison is a diamond educator at a super unique, upscale jewelry boutique in Arlington called Ascot Diamonds. You may have heard me mention them a time or ten! I’ve had the honor of photographing several Ascot Diamonds engagement rings and wedding bands. They’re always my favorite because each one is designed with so much care and attention to detail, plus the diamonds are of exquisite quality.
Madison has since moved on from our networking group but we’ve remained friends, so I was excited when she contacted me a while back saying she thought it was time for some fresh headshots. Madison has some exciting adventures on the horizon and decided it was the perfect time to update all her profile pics. Madison’s request had one unique element: she wanted to do her photos when it had snowed! Now I’m no fan of cold weather, but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity for some snowy Old Town Alexandria headshots!
Little did we know that the most convenient snow day for both of us would be during a cold snap! Not only was it 15 degrees outside, it was supposed to be super windy the day of our session! Luckily the worst of the wind held off until after we were done, but I’m here to tell you – it was still absolutely freezing outside! Madison was a champ, willing to wear whatever I said would look best for her snowy Old Town Alexandria headshots photos, even though it meant she would be freezing her buns off!
I brought us both some hand and feet warmers (she brought us some donuts…) and we kept the car running next to each spot where we stopped so we could hop in and warm up between shots. Worked like a charm! The morning magic hour light was totally working for us and Madison’s photos turned out beautifully!
Thanks for being my bravest client to date and for trusting me with your snowy Old Town Alexandria headshots in the freezing cold dead of winter! I wish you all the best on your upcoming adventure!
