HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

Bianka & Nick are a great example of a modern day fairy tale, and I think their National Harbor engagement session was the perfect way to kick off this new chapter of their love story! They met in the way of many modern aged couples, on a dating app, and the rest was history, as they say. The sweetest part of their session planning was the meaning behind their location selection: it was the first place they were able to spend hours together when they began dating. It holds a special place in their hearts & I’m so happy we were able to commemorate it for them with these photos.
I met up with Bianka & Nick for their National Harbor engagement session on the perfect autumn Sunday afternoon. I don’t think we could’ve gotten better weather or better light! They wanted to be sure to get some photos with the Ferris wheel, so I figured that was a good place for us to start. And I’m glad we did because it was a great hint of whimsy for this picture perfect couple!
Bianka & Nick showed up looking super dapper, like they walked out of a magazine! Their attire was the ideal backdrop to show off Bianka’s sparkling new engagement ring by Ascot Diamonds in Ballston (Arlington, VA). As you can see, Nick is *slightly* taller than Bianka (wink wink), and Bianka was looking to highlight this fact in the photos. I think we were able to accomplish that! Nick may be quite a bit taller than Bianka but they manage to compliment each other beautifully – and that smile on Bianka’s face is a testament to that 🙂
I took the opportunity while B&N were switching outfits to take some photos around the harbor just as magic hour was settling in, which got me super excited for the second half of the session! The sun was the perfect level in the sky & the light was bouncing off the water so perfectly, we had truly magical golden light for the end of our time together.
Here’s to wishing Bianka & Nick the sweetest happily ever after <3
