Maria & Arthur’s wedding day in New Market, Maryland, can be summed up in one word: classic. From the quaint Hill Chapel where they said their vows to the exquisite Vintage restaurant just down the street, to the perfect autumn weather, their day was pure wedding perfection.
I got to know this lovely couple during their engagement session in September when we explored Brookside Gardens in Glenmont, Maryland, and they are just the sweetest! They love to laugh & joke & are fun to be around. They’re truly good people and I was honored to be present for their wedding day.
The day started at the home that accompanies Hill Chapel, where the owners had set up so many thoughtful personal touches for the happy couple. There were wine & snacks, framed photos of the newly-weds-to-be & their families, and exquisite decor wherever you turned. The chapel itself, as you will see, was glowing from the autumn sunshine through the stained glass windows, creating a warm, intimate feeling. The bride & groom said their I do’s and I’ll admit, even I was teary eyed!
The guests trekked on for cocktails at Vintage restaurant, while we stayed behind to take some portraits. Maria & Arthur were troopers in the chilly November temps, snuggling in close to stay warm. Once at the restaurant, there was delicious food & cake by the Vintage chef, along with the friendliest wait staff I’ve ever met! There were speeches & toasts & ‘the shoe game,’ all of which had the entire room laughing & crying at just the right moments.
It was a pleasure to be in the presence of so much love & support, so I’d like to thank the happy couple for letting me be the one to capture their special day. Congratulations newlyweds! Wishing you years of happiness & many more days filled with love!

Classic is the perfect word. I love the picture of them ringing the bell – Maria’s face is too precious in that one!!
Thank you Hannah! They were so excited to ring the bell & Arthur even went back in to do it again after their smooches outside the chapel!
They look like such a sweet couple who had a great wedding!
