MORE ABOUT ME
Proud pup mom, type A creative, lover of the outdoors, Top Chef fan girl, and wedding and portrait photographer. Welcome to the blog!
HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
I’m excited today because I get to introduce you to someone very smart, cool, reliable, and special via her Bon Air Rose Garden senior portraits: my virtual assistant, Bella!
If you have emailed me within the past two years, you likely corresponded with Bella at some point. She’s been working with me since summer 2021 and has done such a great job! Not only does she handle email inquiries, bookings, setting up phone calls, etc., she also does backend blog stuff (no, I did not have her do that for this blog post!), organizes my inbox, sets up projects in my CRM, and pins photos from the blog to Pinterest. She works for me usually about 20 hours per month and what that translates to is I get 20 hours of my life back! Basically, she keeps me sane!
I met Bella through my best friend, Rebecca, because Bella is her niece! During the pandemic, Bella would stay with Rebecca’s family for a couple weeks for a change of scenery, spend time with her cousins, and help Rebecca with her work (she owns her own company as a personal assistant). I forget how it happened – it was probably at Rebecca’s suggestion because she is a problem solver – Bella started working for me too!
Bella has been working with me since she was a high school junior! When most people hear/read that they probably feel confused that I have a high school kid working for me as a virtual assistant. I mean, when I was a teenager I definitely *definitely* was not responsible enough to work as someone’s assistant! And probably most high school kids aren’t. It’s a lot of pressure to have someone else’s business and livelihood in your hands at 15 years old! But Bella is no normal high schooler. She is very smart, super reliable, responsible, organized, ambitious, attentive, and she really cares about doing a good job. She’s basically Rory Gilmore (without Jess… ick!).
Late last summer Bella was visiting her family in the area, so it was a great opportunity for me to take her senior portraits! After seeing all my photos on the blog for the past year, she knew she wanted Bon Air Rose Garden senior portraits. Thankfully it was a great time of year at the garden! The roses were literally taller than she was! Everything was in full bloom, vibrant, and colorful. And we got a super glowy evening so the light was perfect!
Bella recently graduated high school and I’m glad she has her Bon Air Rose Garden senior portraits to help her announce her accomplishment! She’s headed off to college in New York State in the fall, and I just know she is going to be so successful and do big things! Congratulations Bella! And thank you for all you do.
Did this post get you excited to book your own senior portraits, grad photos, headshots or branding session?! If yes, send me a note and we can chat about what you have in mind: contact me
