HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today I’m happy to celebrate with some of my favorite images from Heather and Ryan’s dreamy spring Mt. Vernon Inn wedding, in Mt. Vernon, Virginia.
You probably remember Heather and Ryan from their summer engagement session (plus from Heather’s two cute dresses!). Their engagement session is where I learned that Heather and Ryan are competing with me for biggest The Office fan! haha And you better believe we talked about The Office at their wedding as well! We had both recently watched Jim and Pam’s wedding episodes in preparation for the big day. I mean, it doesn’t get better than that!
Another thing that delighted me at Heather and Ryan’s dreamy spring Mt. Vernon Inn wedding, was all of the beautiful details Heather gave me to ‘play’ with! She had two different velvet ring boxes for me to choose from (yes, I used them both!), gorgeous pearl hangers for her bridesmaids’ dresses, and a beautiful floral invitation suite. And that’s just a sampling of what I had to work with. Wait until you see their details photos!
Heather was surrounded by six super helpful and supportive bridesmaids throughout her and Ryan’s dreamy spring Mt. Vernon Inn wedding. I was so impressed by how everyone was asking if I needed help with anything and regularly volunteering to lend a hand. They were her hype squad while she was having portraits taken, and were just always ready and willing to participate. A wedding day truly is as fun as the people you’re surrounded with, and I think that’s partially why Heather and Ryan had such a fun day!
The venue for Heather and Ryan’s dreamy spring Mt. Vernon Inn wedding offered so much to work with by way of photos! It was almost overwhelming between all the charming wallpapered rooms, the outdoor space, as well as the front view with the gate and architectural elements. I’m proud of how much we were able to work in, and appreciative of Heather and Ryan for being willing to take so many photos!
I always like to share my favorite parts of the day, so first I’ll share my official answer and then I’ll share my sillier one. Heather and Ryan decided to do read their personal vows privately after their ‘first look’. It was just so sweet and I hope more couples start doing this! They were able to be so honest and loving, and really let out their emotions. I just love those photos! And for my sillier answer – there was a moment in the bridal suite at the venue where Heather got excited to play the Hamilton soundtrack. And I was just as excited to hear it! I was singing along with her and her bridesmaids as I was snapping photos and it was just so fun!
This was my first full wedding back after tending to some health issues, and I want to note just how considerate and supportive Heather and Ryan were through the whole planning process. They were so understanding and kind and I just really appreciated it!
Congratulations and best wishes to Heather and Ryan! “May you always be satisfied!”
They did a lightly choreographed dance to Lover by Taylor Swift and it was so fun!
So much appreciation for Heather and Ryan’s vendor squad:
