D.C. Wedding Photographer – Rachel E.H. Photography

Hi everyone! It’s been a while! You can probably tell things look a little different around here, and that’s because over the past several weeks I’ve been working with Sarah of Sarah Proper Designs on a website update! Woot woot!

The past year was full of so much learning and gaining of experience that has set me up to better serve you! 

I’m so excited to have my website up to date with some of my favorite photos from the past year. Last year this D.C. wedding photographer had the honor of photographing and second shooting 28 weddings, lots of engagement sessions, proposals, headshots and branding sessions, maternity photos, newborns, and over 50 family sessions! Whew! I definitely had a lot to choose from when updating my site.

Besides updating the photos, the past year gave this D.C. wedding photographer great perspective on with whom I’m best suited to work, so I’m excited to have all of the copy updated on my site as well. I know I have a great time working with people (a lot of them are dog owners!) who love to laugh, are super smart, funny, and who value their time as much as their investment. Who are care as much about their experience as they do the beautiful photos they walk away with. I’m thrilled to be serving more of the best people in the coming year! After photographing and second shooting 28 weddings last year as a D.C. wedding photographer, I have a whole new perspective on what it really takes to create not only gorgeous wedding photos, but an experience you’ll cherish as well. I’ve designed a new wedding package that enables me to do my job to the best of my ability, which in turn gives my couples a fun, organized experience to go with their joyful, timeless wedding photos. I educated the crap out of myself last year! Haha Between taking on over a dozen second shooting positions for full wedding days working alongside and learning from some really talented photographers, taking courses on lighting, posing, and composition, I am like five times smarter this year than I was last year. And I was already pretty smart last year! All this has allowed me to up my skill level to bring you a more consistent experience from start to finish.

Finally, I expanded my gear set to include a new lens – 24mm f1.4, which has been really fun to use for my newly established Epic Portrait I try to work into every session – and an off camera flash setup (think receptions & indoor events)! I had been working on putting that together for years, and finally was able to do it mid-year last year.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement, not just over the past year since I went full time with my business, but in the two years prior to that. It’s all gotten me to this point and I’m excited to see where things go from here!
