Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today I’m excited to share details on my new D.C. wedding photography package! Now, I say “D.C. wedding photography” like I’m only a wedding photographer in Washington, D.C., and y’all know that’s not the case. I love taking wedding photos in northern Virginia and Maryland, as well as wherever you want to bring me along. It’s just easier to say “D.C. wedding photography” as a good summary of the area where I typically work.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to my new D.C. wedding photography package! Over the three plus years I have been in business, I have had the privilege of photographing and being second photographer for dozens of weddings (28 last year alone!). Being second photographer actually gave me some great insight to see how some of the area’s other talented photographers run their weddings. It was a great opportunity to compare what I do with what they do, and really see what works out best for the couple.
That brings me to my main point: everything that I do leading up to, the day of, and after a wedding is with my couple in mind. My goal is to give all of my couples a top notch experience, and to me that means balancing what I want to give them (a fun, organized, joyful experience alongside their beautiful, timeless images) with what is important to them (that’s different for every couple). After observing the behind-the-scenes at so many weddings, I was able to create a standard wedding package that is the perfect backbone to each individual wedding photography experience.
My standard D.C. wedding photography package now includes, (amongst some other things):
Over the course of the next several weeks I’m going to share more of my thought process behind why I made each of these adjustments. Check back next week for more information on how I have created more time for a fun, organized, joyful experience and beautiful images on your wedding day.
