You guys have seen me write about how I love full circle moments, and today’s Jones Point Park engagement photos post represents a beautiful full circle, which is one reason I’m so excited to share.
Anna found me online and when she and I had the chance to talk on the phone, I asked what her fiancé’s name was, and she said she thinks I know him already. She told me her fiancé’s name was Bobby LastName and I was like, Oh yeah! I do know him! Bobby was roomies with a guy I used to date yearssss ago! Arlington can be such a small world! haha I remember Bobby being really sweet and genuine and I was excited to hear he’d found his match in a woman equally as sweet.
Anna and Bobby were engaged last year and recently chose their wedding venue – in Jamaica mon! haha Since they have their wedding venue all squared away, they figured it was time for engagement photos! They love spending time together outdoors, so I thought the perfect idea for them would be Jones Point Park engagement photos since the area is outdoors and has so much variety between the bridge, the greenery, the waterfront, and the old lighthouse.
Let me tell you, these two are adorable together and were so great to take photos of! I love when couples naturally interact with each other and put out the vibe like they’re just hanging out like any other day – there just happens to be a camera there taking pictures! We made our way around the super muddy park (it rained nonstop the day before), finding all the good picturesque spots, even including some fall foliage! I was excited to find that so late in the season so we took full advantage!
Towards the second half of the session, a misty fog started rolling in, creating the feel of a creepy fairy tale, as Anna put it. It got a little chilly and windy but it was absolutely beautiful! And I felt so lucky we got to capture it in their Jones Point Park engagement photos.
I have to give these guys props for bearing with me in the cold, because right at the end of our session, when we were waking back to the car and I promised we were done, I got inspired! There was an area between the bridges that was perfect to use my new wide angle lens, and they indulged me for one final shot, which ended up being one of my all time favorites!
Thank you to Anna and Bobby for such a fun session! And congratulations and best wishes on your engagement!
