You guys, I don’t know if I can even take credit for this one! Taylor and Cody were such naturals in front of the camera during their Alexandria waterfront engagement photos this past weekend, that I feel guilty for acting like I had anything to do with that! haha
And that’s really saying something because they had a lot working against them the day of their Alexandria waterfront engagement photos: humidity, wind, rain, wet and muddy ground, dark skies. And y’all, they pulled out all the love they have for each other during their Alexandria waterfront engagement photos session and gave me so much joy to work with. I was in photography heaven despite the weird weather!
I think Taylor and Cody’s joy and love had an effect on the weather because even though it was pouring – and I do mean pouring – on my drive to the session, it stopped raining the second I met up with these two love birds (and their golden doodle and awesome friend who watched said golden doodle while we took other photos). I was shocked and thrilled that the skies stayed dry for the majority of our time at Jones Point Park. And I must say, even when it did start to rain it just added an extra layer of romance to the end of their session.
Taylor and Cody’s connection is evident and their joy is infectious. It’s clear these two have a fun, spirited, playful life together and it’s easy to see why they’re engaged. We had a great time out running the rain, and they were great sports walking through muddy grass and literal puddles to get to the good spots for their photos. Even their pup, Bella, played along and didn’t jump on them… until right before they changed outfits! haha
Congratulations and best wishes to this happy couple! Thanks for making this session so much fun 🙂
Thanks to the folks at Immortal Beloved D.C. for styling Taylor’s hair, and Sephora for doing her makeup.
