I’m excited about so many things that go along with sharing these Cherry Hill Park photos with you today! From the discovery of this hidden gem of a location thanks to Larry, to the sweet sentiment behind the idea of this shoot, it all came together so beautifully.
Larry reached out to me with the idea of giving his girlfriend a photo session for her birthday! I love this so much because I truly believe in the gift of photography, plus it shows what an attentive partner Larry is since he booked these Cherry Hill Park photos for his girlfriend, Masoom.
Photography is the best gift (I know I’m biased, but stick with me…) in my opinion because it preserves a moment in time. Every moment flits away and one of the only ways we can savor those memories is through photography. When your girlfriend mentions you don’t have a lot of photos together, do what Larry did (WWLD?) and book a photo session for her birthday or anniversary!
Not only is photography a great gift because you get to keep the resulting photos, but also because it’s an experience – and I love gifts of experience. With Larry and Masoom’s Cherry Hill Park photos, they were able to create memories while experiencing their photo session together, AND they get to keep the resulting images. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving! Now that sounds like a win/win/win!
Masoom’s birthday was at the end of October, so she had plenty of time to prepare for her and Larry’s Cherry Hill Park photos session in early November. They wanted their session to be somewhere that included the beautiful fall foliage and suggested Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church. I’d been to the area once before for a farmers’ market, but never noticed how awesome this little park is!
Larry and Masoom were total naturals in front of the camera, laughing and joking without me even having to say a word! I got them set up in a pose and they took it from there making photography magic! From their genuine smiles to the golden foliage, plus the memory of getting to know these two, I am in love with their pictures! Larry and Masoom, I hope you are too!
