HI, I'M RACHEL!

I had so much fun taking these Baltimore engagement photos over the weekend with Claire and Corey in Baltimore, Maryland. We got to go to a couple of their favorite places and I was excited to get the tour of areas I’ve never been before! Baltimore was showing off for us and gave Claire and Corey some gorgeous magic hour light for their engagement photos.
Claire and Corey have been together for three and a half years, and got engaged in June. When Claire mentioned to her sister, Virginia, that she and Corey had started looking for a wedding photographer, Virginia pointed them in my direction. You see, I have taken photos for Virginia’s family two years in a row now…
… and she knows I love to photograph weddings! I’m appreciative that Virginia connected us because Claire and Corey are super fun and I’m excited to photograph their wedding next year in Baltimore!
When Claire and Corey were thinking of the perfect spot to take their engagement photos, they automatically thought of the neighborhood surrounding the Washington Monument (the oldest Washington monument in the nation, as Corey informed me) where they met and got engaged. Yes! That sounded like the perfect spot for their Baltimore engagement phots. I had never been to the monument so it was fun getting to explore the area with these two experts as my guides, taking photos in some of their favorite spots around the park.
From there we drove up to Mt. Washington, to the Cylburn Arboretum to continue C&C’s Baltimore engagement photos adventure! Lucky for us there was still some beautiful fall foliage adorning the many unique trees and we took full advantage! While I’m not a fan of the cold weather, I must say, it makes for some gorgeous light, stunning sunsets, and I absolutely loved Claire and Corey’s autumn inspired outfits!
It was great getting to know these two love birds ahead of their 2019 wedding. I learned they are really funny, they play off each other, (that Corey has great taste in engagement rings!), and that their love for each other translates really well through the lens of the camera. I love how their pictures turned out and I’m excited to see them again next August – this time, for their wedding day!
