You know what makes my job so much sweeter? When my clients and I are so in sync! Such was the case with Lindsay and Mike for their DC winter maternity photos this past weekend!
I’ll admit, I was worried for a few days before our session when I saw snow in the forecast for the weekend. A mild panic started to set in when I saw the snow was scheduled to start at the exact time as Lindsay and Mike’s DC winter maternity photos. Not because I thought the snow would ruin the photos; on the contrary: I thought the snow would be fantastic for the photos and I was worried Lindsay and Mike might want to cancel due to inclement weather. And far be it from me to force a pregnant woman to be out driving around in crappy weather!
Luckily though, I didn’t hear a peep from Lindsay before the session, which I took as a good sign that they weren’t worried at all about the weather! Phew! When I showed up to meet these two expecting love birds, Lindsay let me know she was crossing her fingers for snow during their DC winter maternity photos session and she was super excited at the prospect! Woot woot!
These two are seriously the sweetest human beings and after getting to spend over an hour with them on Saturday, I just know they are going to make excellent parents! Mike was so considerate of Lindsay the entire time and Lindsay was so enthusiastic, even in the freezing cold, plus they are both so excited meet their little girl. I see great things in the future of their new little one with these two as mom and dad!
We started our session at what feels like my new home away from home (besides Union Station), the Kennedy Center. And about halfway through our time there, it started snowing! It was kind of going off and on so we managed to get some photos with flurries, which I’m just obsessed with! Then we headed over to Rock Creek Parkway towards the Lincoln Memorial to end Lindsay and Mike’s DC winter maternity session where we enjoyed even more snow!
Congratulations to Lindsay and Mike, and it’s gonna be so fun to meet your new addition in a couple months!
