Oh man, Katey and her family really upped the ante with their Lincoln Memorial family photos! Not only did they choose one awesome location, they chose to tie the session to their one year wedding anniversary!
Katey and Adam were married a year ago in March, and wanted to celebrate their anniversary by including their new baby girl in the Lincoln Memorial family photos. Katey and Adam love the Lincoln Memorial – I mean, who doesn’t?! – so they chose to feature the memorial and the reflecting pool in their family session. And of course, I was totally on board!
We started off doing some love bird portraits with just the two of them while miss Madeline slept like a… well, a baby, as Adam’s mom graciously watched after her. The weather totally cooperated with us by being slightly overcast, making it possible to use the entire area without any glare from the bright sun reflecting off the white marble or the water. Thanks Mother Nature! haha
I didn’t think it was possible for Katey and Adam to get any cuter or more in sync than they were during their love bird portraits, but I was wrong! Baby Madeline clearly has both of their hearts because they each lit up even brighter once she was part of their Lincoln Memorial family photos.
Congratulations to Katey and Adam on your first anniversary! And cheers to many more!
Thanks to Carolyn Thombs Artistry for Katey’s hair and makeup.
