HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS

I think Rachel and Zac’s motto should be, “go big or go home!” Rachel and Zac’s proposal story is impressive and now so is their engagement season, after deciding to do a sunrise Lincoln Memorial engagement photos session earlier this week!
I was so excited for Rachel and Zac’s sunrise Lincoln Memorial engagement photos for so many reasons! First, Rachel and Zac were a delight to get to know over the phone when we first talked about this session, so I was excited to meet them in person. Plus, they were really dedicated to creating the ideal environment for their once-in-a-lifetime engagement photos. Also, they brought champagne to their session, so you know they are a couple after my own heart! haha
Rachel and Zac knew they wanted their sunrise Lincoln Memorial engagement session to also include some cherry blossoms, plus lots of sunshine for bright, glowy images. You guys, this is basically all I could ever ask for! haha I was appreciative that they were dedicated to the same things I love to capture, so we made it happen!
Rachel and Zac got engaged on New Years day at – get this – Machu Picchu! Yeah. That good. The two of them hiked to the resort at the top of Machu Picchu, where Zac popped the question over dinner the night before they toured the  ancient city. So romantic! The next day Rachel had a new accessory to take photos with on their tour 🙂
As if their engagement wasn’t epic enough, Rachel and Zac wanted to take the epic-ness to the next level for their engagement photos: they had these once-in-a-lifetime photos taken with the gorgeous once-a-year natural phenomenon, the D.C. cherry blossoms, as well as with the sunrise at the Lincoln Memorial. We got to record Zac and Rachel’s first time seeing the sunrise at the Lincoln Memorial! These two really outdid themselves.
Congratulations and best wishes to these two love birds! Thanks for bearing with me in the freezing cold to capture these special photos.

[…] guys, that worked out for all of us! The spots I had in mind for Abby & Gerry would have been beautiful, but we ended up finding a few other really gorgeous spots for their photos just by walking around […]
[…] really upped the ante with their Lincoln Memorial family photos! Not only did they choose one awesome location, they chose to tie the session to their one year wedding […]
