It’s wonderful to witness and feel the love flowing around when there’s a baby on the way. From the first time I spoke to Lindsay about her pregnancy I could tell how excited she and her husband were to welcome their baby girl, who I got to take these floral themed newborn photos for earlier this month!
You may remember Lindsay and Mike from their Kennedy Center maternity photos earlier this year. I could feel the excitement in the air as we took their maternity photos (or was that just the snow?! haha) and it made me excited to meet their new baby girl too!
And meet her I did, earlier this month on May Day. Baby Emerson made her debut in March and I got to take her floral themed newborn photos on her two month birthday! So fun! Lindsay and her hubby caught a winter cold after Emerson was born, so we waited a while to do her newborn photos until after everyone was feeling better. And I must say, that was kind of fun! Emerson was able to do some cool stuff that most fresh newborns aren’t quite skilled at yet, so it was fun getting to take photos of those two month old skills for a change!
Lindsay is a total natural with her baby girl. She talked to her the entire session, got her to smile a bunch, and knew what to say in the perfect tone that would sooth her when she was getting fussy. She even knew when to break out the magic oscillating chair that rocked Emerson right to snoozeville. Having Emerson in that chair was the best way to end her floral themed newborn photos session because we got those sleep baby pics like I love!
