Stephanie and Erik’s Arlington Virginia engagement photos session this past fall was so fun, and I’m excited to finally share their beautiful photos with you!
The title of this blog post should’ve been ‘Shenandoah National Park engagement photos’, but Mother Nature interfered and we had a change of plans. Stephanie was excited to surprise her fiancé, Erik, with engagement photos at Shenandoah National Park during peak foliage season. We had everything all planned out and then it rained… hard… the day of the session. Stephanie was so patient while we got things rescheduled. I was fully booked through the rest of the peak foliage season in the Shenandoah, so we ended up moving our session to Arlington.
I know what you’re thinking… Arlington, Virginia? After wanting photos in the Shenandoah?? You’re right, Arlington doesn’t exactly compare to the beautiful sights we would’ve seen in the Shenandoah peaks, but I would argue that Stephanie and Erik’s Arlington Virginia engagement photos are still stunning! You could put these two love birds literally anywhere and their photos would be beautiful because their love and personalities shine through no matter where they are.
We decided to do an Arlington Virginia engagement photos session because I had seen some really beautiful trees along GW Parkway and knew we could capture some fall foliage there. It was also appealing to Stephanie and Erik that you can see across the river into DC, so we were able to include some of the iconic DC skyline in the photos. Plus, ya just can’t go wrong with wispy willow trees no matter what time of year it is!
It was such a treat to spend a couple hours with Stephanie and Erik. They’re both really funny and seem to have a lot of fun together! They spent pretty much the entire session laughing and joking with each other, between romantic pauses for some dreamy looks and sweet kisses. It was so easy to tell how much they love each other, and I know you can easily tell in their photos too!
Stephanie and Erik are getting married this year in Florida, and I’m wishing them all the best!
If you work with me in the fall, be forewarned I’m making everyone do the leaf throwing pic from now on – look how cute this is! They nailed it!
I love this pic so much! S+E are rockstars at the candid shots.
