What a beautiful evening Bella and Lauren had for their The W Hotel wedding in Washington, D.C., this past weekend! The weather was gorgeous for their outdoor portraits and the sunset views from the rooftop of The W were stunning as they said their ‘I dos’!
Bella and Lauren met while at work when they were stationed together overseas. While they kept it super profesh during their tour, once they were back state side they were finally able to start dating and the rest is history!
Before Lauren and Bella’s The W Hotel wedding, we met on the street to take some pre-ceremony love bird portraits around the hotel. I’d actually never shot in that area, and didn’t realize how much I was missing out! There are some great spots surrounding the W – with clean, classic D.C. scenery and beautiful light. And as you’ll see in their photos, these two were total naturals in front of the camera! They were having the best timing joking and loving on each other, getting excited as we got closer and closer to their The W Hotel wedding ceremony.
We met up with their officiant and headed up to the rooftop bar (which is currently closed due to COVID) for the ceremony. We chose the perfect spot where we could see the Washington Monument in the background of the photos. So cool! Their the W Hotel wedding was super sweet, thanks to their officiant from DC Elopements, who did a wonderful job bringing some sentimentality to the occasion.
Maybe the sweetest part was how they were able to dial in some family members to FaceTime through the ceremony, and how they cheered when they were pronounced married!
Best wishes to the brides, Bella and Lauren!
