HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Ayesha and Quinn are engaged! Thanks to Quinn’s stellar planning and romantic ideas, I’m excited to share with you this Meridian Hill Park proposal.
Quinn planned a super romantic weekend for his girlfriend in D.C., culminating in their Meridian Hill Park proposal. Quinn used to live in the city and his girlfriend, Ayesha, used to visit him while she was in medical school out of town. They would go for long walks around the city, including Dupont Circle and Meridian Hill Park. I think you can see where this is going…
Quinn and Ayesha live out of town now, and like most of us, have been kind of cooped up for the past few months during quarantine, so they planned a weekend getaway in D.C. as soon as things started opening back up. Being that D.C. was a such a big part of their love story, Quinn decided this was the perfect time and place to pop the question!
He planned a long walk around their old neighborhood, letting Ayesha know they would be making their way to Dupont Circle. Quinn knew Ayesha may have an inkling that he was going to propose, so he purposely played up how excited he was to go to Dupont Circle. Little did she know, he planned on making another stop at another one of their favorite landmarks – Meridian Hill Park!
Along the walk to Dupont, Quinn suggested they stop in at Meridian Hill Park. Thank goodness Ayesha went along with it! haha It was fairly crowded at the park, and I was there waiting across from the base of the fountain, in our predetermined spot. Quinn and Ayesha came walking down the stairs, and my first thought when I saw them was, “Oh yay! She’s wearing a cute dress!” haha! They walked to the middle of the fountain, which by the way, I must commend Quinn on because he was literally right in the center! He went for the ring, went down on one knee, and I hear someone in the park exclaim, “He’s proposing!” haha Quinn popped the question and all around there were cheers and clapping! It was so fun and sweet! The icing on the cake! Absolutely heart warming.
Ayesha was genuinely surprised! She said she suspected something but was totally thinking it would happen at Dupont Circle, and was thrown off by Meridian Hill Park! Mission accomplished, Quinn! You have a new fiancee and managed to surprise (and delight) her!
Congratulations and best wishes to the newly engaged love birds! May the rest of your days together be as delightful as the evening of your proposal <3
Ayesha loves nature, so Quinn included those leaves on the band of the ring!
I think she’s excited, do ya think?! haha
