HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

Happy Monday!! I spent the weekend away so I’m feeling nice & refreshed for this Monday at the office! I could use a little more rest, but hey, who couldn’t?! I’m ready to seize the week and hope you are as well! I’d love to hear how you spent your weekend! Tell me in the comments đŸ™‚
I kicked off the weekend on Friday with margaritas & Mexican food at Guapo’s with my fellow BNI chapter member & social media extraordinaire, Beth of Canoe Media Services. We talked about how she can help me with some business stuff, but mostly enjoyed the gorgeous weather on their patio.
After dinner I came home to 1. assemble my new patio table & benches:Is it just me or does anyone else feel like some kind of super hero when you put together furniture all by yourself? Well I put all three of these pieces together in like 30 minutes so I was feeling pretty content with myself for the rest of the night! haha
And 2. deliver THREE galleries! I typically don’t do so so late on a Friday evening, but I was going to be spending the rest of the weekend away & wanted to get those babies out the door! First up was the Greater Madison, WI Chamber of Commerce reception, “Madison Meets D.C.”, which was held last Wednesday evening on Capitol Hill. They had a great turn out & beautiful weather. Then I sent out Kyle’s Temple photos in honor of his Bar Mitzvah. We took the photos on Thursday indoors at the Temple, but there was the cutest little park next to the parking lot, so we made sure to take advantage of the magic hour light! And last, I took some photos for my family way back on Easter. I knew I’d be seeing them on Sunday, so I wanted to get their photos to them finally! haha Look how adorable & smiley my little niece and nephew are! Saturday morning Milli & I hit the road to St. Michael’s to attend a wedding – as a guest! (Well, Milli stayed at the hotel…) It was a beautiful event on the waterfront and I managed to not take any photos except for this one of the flowers in our table setting… I couldn’t help myself! We stayed at the sweetest little inn on the water in Oxford and my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer the next day to explore this peaceful, sleepy little town.Sunday we made the drive to Running Hare Winery in Calvert County for my soon-to-be stepmom’s birthday celebration. The whole family was there, snacking & sipping wine, and somehow this is the only photo I took:We had a great time but after two days spent in the late spring heat, we were ready to get home to some air conditioning! We had a great weekend away & I’m excited to be home and ready to get to work this week!
Check back tomorrow for Charles’ headshots at Constitution Hall, Wednesday for a brand new #weddingwednesday post, and Thursday to see more photos from the Madison Chamber of Commerce event.
Have a great week!!
