What a busy weekend getting to celebrate so much! I wasn’t feeling well [still am not] but I managed to hustle my butt around from D.C. to Leesburg to Baltimore, all in one weekend! It’s the beginning of a busy season & I am excited to be out of hibernation & back in action!
First up on Friday was a birthday dinner at Cuba Libre in D.C. One of the ladies I went to the DR with a couple weeks ago was in town for the weekend & it happened to be her birthday! We decided to get everyone together to celebrate & dance salsa, bachata, and meringue like we were back in the DR, and Cuba Libre was the perfect place to do so.
Saturday I drove out to Leesburg to meet with some wedding clients to take a look at their wedding venue for this coming weekend. Leesburg is so quaint & historic & I just love the vibe you get from being there. I can’t wait to go back this Saturday to photograph their wedding! Stay tuned for those photos on the blog next week 🙂
While I was out of the country, my brother turned the big 3-0, so we took him to the fancy, art-deco inspired The Prime Rib in Baltimore on Saturday night to celebrate – finally! I was happy to give him the Dominican cigars & Mamajuana I got for him in the DR & to cheers to him on his milestone birthday!
Sunday afternoon I made it to yoga, which I SO needed! The rest of the day was spent working, doing chores, and having dinner with my dad & his fiance at my favorite, Guapo’s. I ate so much great food this weekend! And drank lots of fun drinks 😉
This week on the blog look out for more photos from my trip to the Dominican Republic, and follow along on Instagram as I take over the @godanceabroad account! Have a great week everyone!
