Happy St. Paddy’s Day my loves! Kiss me, I’m Irish!
As I mentioned on Tuesday, spring is just around the corner! Summer is my actual favorite season, but spring is a close second – and probably would be first if it weren’t for all of the darn allergies, ya feel me? This year I’ll be kicking off the season by shooting my first wedding of the year on the first day of spring – so excited! But before I do that, I’m sharing my all time favorite spring photos for some serious seasonal inspiration.
I have to say, nature is my biggest inspiration when it comes to my photography, and spring is a smorgasbord for that inspiration. If you follow me on Instagram (@rachelehphotos), you know that I LOVE taking photos of flowers, and the best time to capture flowers in all of their glory is spring time. So I’m pretty much in heaven right about now!
Last spring I happened to be in the tail end of a photography class, so I made it a point to routinely get outdoors to practice taking photos, so many of the spring photos I’m sharing with you today are from some of those excursions. Just me & my pup, cruising around northern Virginia with my camera. There’s just something about being out & about in nature, among the new grasses, blossoming trees & flowers, in the warm air, soaking in that vitamin D, that just makes you feel so alive. I love it.
Another major inspiration for my photography is travel. So when I get the chance to take photos while traveling in the spring time, it’s like JACKPOT! You’ll see some of those photos in this post as well.
Scroll on for some of my favorite natural inspiration, many, many flowers, and a plethora of spring photos. Hopefully this will get you in the mood for the change in seasons over the weekend!
