“Snips and snails and puppy dog tails, that’s what little boys are made of.”
Or so the old saying goes. But baby Dom, though, if he’s made of anything, he’s made of baseballs, Ooh Rah, and cozy snuggles. He was born on a mid-autumn day in November of last year and I was honored to take his first baby portraits.
I love that peaceful quietude that only happens in homes of newborn babies. I entered the Grossi household and that gentle silence greeted me as I entered & sneaked up the stairs to baby Dom’s nursery. His mom, Nikki, was rocking him to sleep, but she quickly let me know he wasn’t having any of it! haha He knew something was up. Babies are smart like that!
At just a week in this world, it was already evident the close bond baby Dom & mom had – he was only content when he was snuggled tight in her arms. It was really sweet, I have to tell you! But between wonderment & fussiness, we were able to capture truly beautiful images of the Grossi baby boy, along with his dad’s special mementos. And during breaks I was happy to take some shots of the adorable nursery! There were dad’s baseballs, classic baby books, and a quote on the wall reminding all who entered to “never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”
Welcome to the world, baby Dom!
