HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
I get extra excited when I get to feature photos at a location I’ve never blogged about before. So that’s why I’m extra excited to share Rachel and Sean’s Rock Creek Park anniversary photos in Washington, D.C., with you today!
A Big Anniversary
This post is extra special too because I get to celebrate Rachel and Sean who have reached a milestone wedding anniversary: ten years!! The last professional photos they had taken were at their wedding, so they were excited to do their Rock Creek Park anniversary photos and capture who they are now, ten years in.
A New Location
Rachel and Sean love spending time together outdoors, and enjoyed RCP when they visited, so when they suggested the area for their anniversary portraits, I was totally on board! I’ve done a few photo sessions in Rock Creek Park, but they’ve all been 30 minute family sessions. This was the first time I got to spend a full 90 minute session with adults, and y’all, this might be my new fav spot!
True Colors Shining Through
What I especially love about Rachel and Sean’s Rock Creek Park anniversary photos is the things each of them love about each other are totally evident in the photos. Rachel loves Sean’s sense of humor and positive attitude, and Sean loves Rachel’s empathy, wit, and infectious laugh. I swear, you can truly see all of that in their photos! Plus, I think you can tell how much fun they were having (I have to say – these two are easy to have fun with and I was having a blast myself!), and I hope that helps them treasure these images that much more.
That is one thing I love about working with married couples: they are so comfortable with each other, it’s easier for them to relax and be themselves in front of the camera. They’ve spent years getting to know each other and they’ve also had their photos taken before, so being in front of the camera is a little less intimidating. I enjoy working with all my clients to help them feel at ease during their session, and that ease comes a little more – you guessed it – easily – with a married couple.
Congratulations again to Rachel and Sean on the big 1-0, and cheers to many more happy decades together!
