The point of this post is pretty much to brag about what a great business woman I am. Just kidding! The point of this post is to show how I can help you get that one shot for LinkedIn – the perfect headshot!
Back to what a great business woman I am for just a sec. Over the course of my first two and a half years in business, I would often get requests for that one shot for LinkedIn headshot. At the time, I was only doing hour-long portrait sessions, more appropriate for branding where people needed to populate a website and have a bunch of collateral for social media. Those sessions worked really well for those folks (and still do!), but it was a little much for the people who were inquiring about needing just one shot for LinkedIn.
So, my little business wheels starting turning, and the headshot ‘micro’ session was born! I created a session specifically to serve the folks who usually work for a large company or are serving on a board and need just one great shot for their company website, LinkedIn profile, or to send in for a speaking engagement announcement. I’ve done about a dozen of these sessions so far and they’re working out really well for those who have booked them.
So what do you get in your headshots micro session? You get 20 minutes with me at an outdoor location that elicits the feel of what you’re trying to convey in your photos. You get to wear one outfit, and in the end, you receive five edited images, including one black and white copy of one of the photos. You also get both high resolution images and web resolution, so you can use the photos in a variety of ways (LinkedIn, printed, etc.).
Pretty great, right? If this sounds like something you’re in need of, reach out and let’s get it set up! Contact me here. And see some examples of these sessions below:
Penny is a driven and insightful realtor who works for Compass in Georgetown, and really wanted her headshots to convey that she’s capable yet friendly and approachable, and to showcase her strong, positive presence. She’s passionate about the area where she works, so we definitely wanted to feature that in her headshots! Penny chose a street in Georgetown that showed off the area, as well as her adorable pup, Winston!
Joe is an architect who owns his own firm in Old Town Alexandria, as well as is the incoming president on the board at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for our region. He was looking for a headshot he could use at his firm, as well as one he could submit on behalf of his AIA presidency that shows he’s engaged, personable, and thoughtful (which, after meeting him, I know is all true!). As his backdrop, we chose a building in Old Town that had strong architectural elements – makes sense, right?
