Northern Virginia Family Photographer
This is the last of my mini-session shoots for holiday photos that took place back in November at Long Bridge Park in Arlington, VA. Crystal City to be exact. This park is one of my favorite places in Arlington, so I was super excited to get to shoot six sessions here spread out over two weekends! When you find a place that speaks to your soul and clients who are equally as gung-ho for the experience, you ride it on out.
I loved that the energy these young families brought to our mini-sessions was the perfect juxtaposition to this peaceful, secluded, majestic park on the edge of the Potomac River. It’s called Long Bridge Park because literally – a long bridge-like boardwalk runs from the end of Crystal Drive all the way out along the Potomac. It culminates in a subtle hilltop observatory where you can clearly see the Washington Monument in all its glory peeking out over the top of the city.
As I said, it’s a peaceful, secluded place where I’ve loved to take walks with my dog on warm spring & summer days. I knew it would be beautiful in the fall with the tall grasses turning their perfect autumnal shade of mustard yellow and the trees developing into jewel tones. And if we were lucky, we’d get some colorful, streaky cool weather sunsets. I knew it was the perfect place to hold these mini-sessions.
One such little lady who brought the energy to this serene backdrop was Miss Stella! She had a blast getting tickled by her parents, carried around by dad after chasing her through the grass, and running up and down the boardwalk, favorite snacks in hand. Her laughter was contagious & I was happy to be able to capture so many of her wide-eyed toddler smiles as she played & enjoyed her photo shoot.
Thanks to the Tsiopanas family for being so much fun to run around with at one of my favorite places!
