How’s everyone doing the morning after Super Bowl weekend and one of the most boring games in Super Bowl history?! haha Not to be a Debbie Downer, but someone had to say it!
Besides watching the game last night (and by watching I mean watching cat videos on YouTube), I had a fun, productive, and refreshing weekend! Friday night of Super Bowl weekend I ended up doing a bunch of work – #entrepreneurlife. Saturday I headed out to Herndon to my friend Alexis’ house where she was hosting her very first New Moon gathering. Alexis is really passionate about connection and self care, so she decided to combine the two into one beautiful event! And OMG was it amazing! She invited four thoughtful women and we got to discuss how we work ‘self care’ into our lives and how we could do so more. Everyone had such great input and the whole afternoon felt really peaceful and centering. It was absolutely lovely and I’m so proud of my friend! Oh! And she cooked this delish food for us from scratch!
Right after the gathering I cruised out to Warrenton, Virginia, for a maternity session at Poplar Springs Manor with Anna and Jesse. The light was gorgeous and the weather was a balmy 40 degrees, which seriously felt balmy after days of single digits! I’ll share more of Anna and Jesse this week on the blog so stay tuned for that!
Saturday night involved more work, AND an exciting discovery on Netflix: Russian Doll. Russian Doll y’all, OMG! It’s SO good. Definitely give it a watch.
Saturday night was also my last night camping out on my couch, so I made the most of it! haha I got a new mattress and the first night I tried to sleep on it, it smelled really bad like chemicals, so I ended up sleeping on the couch. I decided to let the mattress air out for a couple nights before trying again and I must admit… sleeping on the couch kinda grew on me! I had really snuggly blankets and it was so cozy. It just felt like something fun and different. I’m easily amused I guess!
Sunday I went to Old Town for Super Bowl provisions from Fish Market (my FAV buffalo shrimp!), and ended up stopping in at Sacred Circle for a couple new crystals and bracelets (selenite, amazonite, crystal quartz, obsidian)… and at Alexandria Cupcake 🙂 I heard they had cookie dough, so I got some of that plus a cookie dough cupcake, which was amazeballs! I wasn’t too impressed by the cookie dough, but the cupcake won me over. Yum! I also got a Tibetan singing bowl from Lama Shop. I’ve been wanting one forever and finally found the perfect one. King Street has so much to offer! haha
To keep up with my shenanigans between Mondays, check out my InstaStories here. On tap this week: Anna and Jesse on the blog Tuesday, test driving cars (I got it in my head that I want to trade in…), working on some 2019 updates, and we’ll see what else flows! Have a wonderful week everyone!
