I’m excited to introduce you to REHP Love Birds, Heather and Ryan, through their DC summer engagement photos!
Heather and Ryan are a pandemic success story! They met through mutual friends and got engaged early this year. I hear a lot of proposal stories – and Heather and Ryan’s stands out! Ryan took Heather to brunch at Ruthie’s All Day (have you been?! soooo good!), and then a show at the Kennedy Center the week after New Years. I mean, that would be enough to win over most DC-girls’ hearts, but he kept the love fest going! They made a stop at their fav cookie dough place followed by dinner with a rooftop view. And to top it all off, he had the proposal photographed! Y’all – take notes. This is how you pop the question!
These two are one of the couples who had their engagement session rescheduled multiple times due to weather and COVID. And through it all, they were so understanding and patient, and just had an overall wonderful attitude. I have to give them props for their flexibility and positivity! We were originally scheduled for cherry blossom season, and unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. We rescheduled to early June, and then I got COVID. So we pushed the session back again, and I feel like it worked out because we had a beautiful morning for their DC summer engagement photos.
Originally, for their cherry blossoms session, we were going to be at the Tidal Basin, of course. But with the reschedule in a different season, they decided to do their DC summer engagement photos at the Lincoln Memorial and Constitution Gardens. I hadn’t been to Constitution Gardens in a while so it was fun to be over there in the summer months when everything is green. I just love how their photos turned out throughout the whole morning! These two are adorable together and were so good in front of the camera! I love seeing that because I know it’s going to be so fun and easy on their wedding day.
Heather and Ryan are saying I do next June at Mt. Vernon Inn, so until we see them again, enjoy their DC summer engagement photos!
These two are just picture perfect!
I love Heather’s style and this dress was so gorgeous and fun to photograph!
