I’ve got more kwanzan cherry blossom goodness for you today! I’m sharing Madalyn’s kwanzan cherry blossoms ballgown photos!
Like Jodi, who you saw a few weeks ago, Madalyn gifted herself this session before moving away from D.C. She wanted to commemorate her time here in D.C. before leaving the country. Luckily the timing lined up with kwanzan cherry blossom season! Although that was not our original plan, I’m so glad it worked out that way!
Originally we planned to do Madalyn’s photos at the Lincoln Memorial. But I was there the day prior to our session and saw they had drained the reflecting pool for cleaning. Womp womp. Madalyn wanted an iconic D.C. location, so she asked about the Jefferson Memorial. I quickly agreed, knowing there were some kwanzan trees in bloom nearby.
I have to say, things could not have worked out better! Once I saw Madalyn’s awesome floral print dress, I knew these kwanzan cherry blossoms ballgown photos were meant to be! She really went all out and rented this amazing ballgown. She wanted lots of dramatic shots and just wanted to have fun! What a great attitude!
We started with the cherry blossoms, and of course had to dodge a million people for photos. But you would never know by these gorgeous shots! Just wait til you see! Then we headed over to the tidal basin and finished at the Jefferson. I love how the ballgown looked in all of these locations! The columns were iconic and I hope that captured that quintessential D.C. vibe Madalyn was going for in these photos.
