micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Ooooh this is a good one, y’all! Today I get to share with you Christina and Adam’s Maryland micro wedding photos.
Christina and Adam live in Florida where they run a dog walking business. They absolutely love dogs and that definitely seems like the perfect passion project turned serious business venture for these two! They’re originally from Maryland and decided to get married at Adam’s parents’ home. Christina said she always pictured they would get married there, as it’s one of her favorite places. Christina’s dream came true just under a month ago when she and Adam said their I dos in his parents’ lush green yard.
Christina and Adam’s Maryland micro wedding was a dog-filled affair! As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Adam’s parents’ dog. His tail was wagging so fast and I couldn’t help but make my way over to say hi. Next thing I knew, Adam’s brother’s Great Dane was popping in to say hello! And finally, I met Christina and Adam’s rescue dog, Surge, who besides the bride and groom was definitely the star of the show! All three of them were dressed in their fanciest pup wear for the big occasion.
Christina and Adam noted that they really wanted their Maryland micro wedding day to feel like a relaxed day at home with their closest friends and family. And that it was! The beautiful house was set atop a country hill, surrounded by farmland and meadows. It was the perfect setting for a family wedding and offered plenty of photo ops. The side yard provided the perfect space for the ceremony arch and chairs for the family. The arch was adorned with beautiful seasonal flowers, which made it stand out amongst all the greenery of the yard.
I was going to try to pick a favorite moment from Christina and Adam’s Maryland micro wedding. But then I realized – basically any part that included the dogs was my favorite. And there were many! First, Surge stole the spotlight during C & A’s first look. I don’t know what it is, but any time I’ve seen a dog at a wedding and the bride has a train on her dress, the dog wants to lay on the train! It’s like they think it’s a blanket or their own personal bed. And that is just what Surge did during the first look. It was hilarious!
Next, the dogs were each walked down the aisle by their owners. Or should I say, they walked their owners down the aisle? It was definitely the latter. I just love the photos of the three pups during the ceremony. It was so hot and they were troopers! Finally, Surge got to be a part of the first dance and cake cutting. They laid down a towel for his comfort, and he stayed on it while Christina and Adam enjoyed their first dance. After they cut the cake, Surge got the first piece! So cute!
Best wishes and congratulations to Christina, Adam, and Surge, on your Maryland micro wedding!
Can you spot all the pups in this pic?
