HI, I'M RACHEL!

I’m kind of all over the map the past few weeks with these blog posts from all different types of sessions! It’s been fun to share some of my fav photos from the spring and early summer. That definitely includes today’s post with photos from three roommates’ DC memorials graduation photos!
Paloma, Juliette, and Heather are recent graduates of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Juliette and Heather have been friends and roomies since Freshman year. I just love that they maintained their friendship all through college and got to document it with their DC memorials graduation photos! Paloma met Juliette later freshman year when they joined the same sorority. The trio was complete their senior year when all three moved in together as roomies!
These three loved doing all the typical roommate things together their senior year – but my favorite on their list was they loved going to get bagels! haha I found that so delightful and so specific! I made sure to remind them that Call Your Mother was open bright and early when we were finished our shoot. And remembering that now makes me want a bagel… But I digress.
Paloma reached out to me to book their DC memorials graduation photos. What I loved about her request was that it was important to them to include two different memorials. Typically grads want to focus on the Lincoln Memorial, which I’m always happy to do (unless it’s in the evening!). So it was fun to get to take grad photos at the Jefferson Memorial as well. There are some beautiful views over there too!
These three ladies had so much fun together and were in such good spirits for their DC memorials graduation photos! They brought confetti (we cleaned it up after!) and champagne for a spray photo (this was before I stopped doing those near the monuments). And you’ll note they have huge smiles on their faces, as they were genuinely excited to celebrate their achievement!
Congratulations again to Paloma, Heather, and Juliette! May your futures be as bright as your smiles!

Great Ideas. Thanks. My daughter graduated from GW this year and I’m doing her grad photos this weekend, weather permitting. Loved your shots.
