Alexandra and Jon – what a treat! I’m super excited so share their Fed Hill engagement photos.
I get to photograph Alexandra and Jon’s wedding this October. They’re having a smaller event with close friends and family in the Baltimore area, and I’m super excited to photograph that for them. Alexandra and Jon are like my dream micro-wedding couple because in addition to being adorable, loving each other immensely, and being an open-minded, modern couple, they understand the value of practicing in front of the camera. They decided to book their Fed Hill engagement photos session as an add-on to their micro-wedding package. It helped them get know me, practice in front of the camera, and of course – get more beautiful photos!
Alexandra and Jon introduced me to a new-to-me location in Baltimore – Federal Hill. I’d heard of it but never been there, and wow, was I missing out! Federal Hill has all the things! Cute, colorful row houses; an actual hill with a park setting and incredible 360 views of the city – especially the skyline; gorgeous light; waterfront. It’s a five star location for me. And Alexandra and Jon totally lit up the place!
Alexandra and Jon let me know during our first Zoom meeting that they’re a modern couple who doesn’t necessarily ascribe to typical gender roles – and that was so refreshing to hear! Jon proposed to Alexandra, but Alexandra also proposed Jon! I love the meaning behind that because it means they truly chose each other. Plus it means they both have rings to wear ahead of their wedding. They also let me know during their Fed Hill engagement photos session that we could switch up the traditional poses. Jon could do some of the things the ‘girl’ usually does, and vice versa. Y’all, that blew my mind! haha It really changed up my approach to posing and I was excited to stretch myself in that way.
One of my favorite parts of Alexandra and Jon’s Fed Hill engagement photos was the inclusion of their pup, Mattie. I mean, you know my love for dogs and it’s always so special to meet a couple’s fur baby. And it’s so important to get photos together as a family if your pup isn’t going to be able to be at your wedding. Mattie was so sweet and friendly, and was honestly such a rockstar in front of the camera – just wait ’til you see!
I’m so excited to see Alexandra and Jon again in October! For now, enjoy their adorable engagement photos.
Could these two get any cuter?!
She definitely thought this photo session was all about her. Just look at that picture perfect pose!
