It’s Wedding Wednesday and today that means I get to share Amy and Bob’s beautiful Nantucket inspired Gibson Island Club wedding from this weekend!
NANTUCKET INSPIRATION
You may remember Amy and Bob (and their adorable pup Murray – who could forget that face?!) from their Annapolis engagement photos from earlier this year. Amy and Bob are Annapolitans through and through, they love a nautical theme, and that’s why I was so excited to see what they put together for their Nantucket inspired Gibson Island Club wedding! Amy and Bob introduced me to a new color – Nantucket red. I’d never heard of that before and it’s safe to say, I ‘m a fan!
DOESN’T GET BETTER
Bob’s family have been members at the club and he grew up attending, and after all I’ve heard about it, I was super excited to see it in person! I knew it was going to be totally up my alley with the white interior and exterior, beautiful landscaping, and waterfront views. And yep – I was right! Y’all, it doesn’t get much better than this as far as wedding venues go. I am obsessed! And so excited for you to see their photos!
MY FAVS
My favorite part of the Amy and Bob’s Nantucket inspired Gibson Island Club wedding day (besides meeting Amy’s twin sister, Amanda – so fun!) was their ‘first look’. They were both a little nervous, which is totally normal (and the number one reason I recommend doing a first look!), and it was so sweet to see that anxiety bubble over into sheer excitement and joy when they finally saw each other! The energy these two had throughout their wedding day was admirable, honestly. They had such a great attitude throughout the day and I could tell they were there to enjoy the day with each other. It was such a pleasure to be around and capture. Their joy was contagious!
GOOD ENERGY
Another thing I loved about Amy and Bob’s Nantucket inspired Gibson Island wedding was the humor exuded by everyone. There were laughs throughout their ceremony, really funny moments during toasts by Amy’s sister and Matron of Honor, Amanda, and Bob’s best man, and the welcome toast from Amy’s dad was a riot! These two are surrounded by so much good energy – they are truly lucky love birds.
Congratulations and best wishes to Amy and Bob!
Appreciation goes out to the vendor squad who created a beautiful day for Amy and Bob!
