Happy Monday, friends! While I’m recovering and traveling home from Andrea and Avi’s fabulous wedding on the eastern shore, I’m excited to share with you Caitie and Matt’s DC couple graduation photos!
THE LITERAL CUTEST!
I’m so excited to share these DC couple graduation photos with you because Caitie and Matt are the literal cutest! It’s always a little nerve-racking having professional photos taken for the first time with your significant other, but you would never notice if Caitie and Matt were feeling nervous. They were so joyful and full of laughter and excitement throughout their entire session. I just love how their photos turned out!
A LITTLE BACKGROUND INFO
Caitie graduated from Georgetown Law School (she’s a Hoya Lawya!) and Matt graduated from GW Medical School. Power couple, anyone? Since they were both graduating at the same time, they wanted to take their DC couple graduation photos together. We did some photos of just Caitie, then some of just Matt, and then a bunch of the two of them together.
Since two people were included in these photos and Caitie wanted the locations to be the Lincoln Memorial as well as her campus, we did a two hour session. And you might have noticed that for most of my grad sessions, we only do one outfit – when usually for two hour sessions or 90 minute sessions we can do two outfits. For graduation photos, you get so much variety between the outfit you wear to the session, your cap/tam and gown, and then your cap/tam and stole or hood, there really isn’t time to do a full outfit change. You’re still getting headshots and cap and gown photos – so we cover a lot of bases and you still get a lot of variety in your photos.
FRESH START
Caitie had spent eight years in DC, so of course it was important to her to capture photos in the city to remember her time here. And Matt’s big claim to fame is that he’s never lived outside of Virginia. So, naturally we had to get photos of him somewhere other than Virginia 😉 DC was the perfect fit! After graduation, these two had plans to move to NYC to start their careers, which I imagine are about to kick off right about this time of year! So exciting!
Did this post get you excited to book your own graduation, headshots, or branding session?! If yes, send me a note and we can chat about what you have in mind: contact me
