HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Ooh am I excited to share Aga and Peter’s Washington DC wedding portraits with you today! I absolutely love these photos and just know you will too.
LOVE BIRDS PORTRAITS
Aga and Peter were married last year and thought it would be fun to do some portraits in their wedding attire at some favorite D.C. landmarks. One of my top three favorite parts of a wedding day are the love birds portraits, so anytime someone wants to take *just* portraits in their wedding outfits, I’m more than happy to comply! (Also one reason I love elopements!)
FREEDOM!
As I mention in this post, one of the best parts of eloping or taking some portraits on a day other than your wedding is that you have more freedom in choosing the location and timing of the session. Since Aga and Peter were just taking Washington DC wedding portraits this time, they could choose multiple locations to feature and we could schedule their session for sunrise. It’s usually a stretch to take portraits on a full wedding day during magic hour (the timeline doesn’t always accommodate this), so I was excited to take Aga and Peter’s Washington DC wedding portraits at the time of the day when we’d have the best light.
JOY AND HAPPINESS PRESERVED
Aga was looking to capture the joy and happiness their marriage has brought to each of their lives, in timeless photographs. To that end she and Peter did a wonderful job in choosing the Lincoln Memorial and the Kennedy for their locations (both classic D.C. spots!). Aga’s dress was such a beautiful and classic silhouette, which looked stunning on her! It was so fun to play with her train and veil to create movement in their photos. And Peter looked dapper in his suit!
Much appreciation to Aga and Peter for trusting me with your precious memories, and congratulations again!
