HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Lisa and Manny said ‘I do’ (again) this past weekend at their beautiful mid-summer Hayfields Country Club wedding in Hunt Valley, Maryland. And today, I’m thrilled to be able to share some of my fav photos from their wedding with you!
ELITE CLUB
I think I need to establish an elite REHP love birds club, for the few couples who I’ve gotten to work with more than the usual two times (engagement and wedding). Lisa and Manny would definitely be members of that club, since I’ve had the honor of photographing three of their special life events! First, their engagement session in 2019, then their elopement in 2020, and now their big mid-summer Hayfields Country Club wedding in 2021, just one day before their one year official wedding anniversary. It’s been so fun to watch these love birds grow and to now get to meet their beautiful daughter, Kathryn!
A YEAR OF FIRSTS
Since I last saw them a year ago, Lisa and Manny have purchased their first home and welcomed a baby girl, sweet little Kathryn. It was wonderful to meet their new addition and to take photos of her in the cutest mini flower girl dress I’ve ever seen. I could tell both Manny and Lisa, their families, and all their friends, were so in love with this tiny human – Â and she may have stolen the show! haha
A GOOD PROBLEM
Lisa and Manny had a pretty perfect July day for their mid-summer Hayfields Country Club wedding. It was in the mid eighties with a slight breeze to take the edge off the humidity, with lots of blue skies and fluffy white clouds. It was such a photogenic day at one of the most beautiful venues I’ve come across! I can see why these two were excited to say their ‘I dos’ there! We had so many options to choose from when it came to where to take photos – it was almost overwhelming! Always a good problem to have!
SO MANY FAVORITES
One of my favorite moments from Lisa and Manny’s mid-summer Hayfields Country Club wedding was their first look. It was so touching to see how excited these two were to see each other all dolled up in their wedding attire (they both looked absolutely stunning!). Another fav was how the cheeky moment during their ceremony when Lisa’s brother in law, the officiant, asked them for the rings so they could do the traditional rings exchange. They both held up their left hands as if to say, “dude – we’ve been wearing them for a year!” haha
I know I’ve already shared two favorites moments, but I have a third! Lisa and Manny love salsa dancing, so the DJ played lots of salsa music at their reception and it was so fun watching everyone salsa-ing. There were so many talented dancers, including our two love birds! Ooh another cool thing was seeing two other sets of REHP love birds! Shani, whose wedding I photographed in 2019, was a bridesmaid (and looked so beautiful!), so I got to see her and her hubby, John. And then Melanie and Jason (whose engagement photos are coming to the blog Thursday), who are getting married in September, were there as guests. What a treat!
Congratulations and best wishes once again to Lisa and Manny!
Isn’t that just the cutest little fancy dress?!
In my best Chandler Bing voice: have you seen more romantic photos?!
