Happy cherry blossoms week everyone! To celebrate my favorite time of year, I’ve uploaded eleven – count em’ eleven! – new DC cherry blossoms photos to the REHP online print shop!! (Make sure you scroll to the end to see how you can purchase prints or hire me too take specific photos.)
The DC cherry blossoms photos in the print shop are so special to me not just because they’re cherry blossoms, but because the memories I have of taking these photos are so wonderful.
These photos were taken one morning in 2019, just after I finished a cherry blossoms engagement session near the Jefferson Memorial. I was so pleased with how everything went and had a delightful time with my clients, who were so warm and in love. The sun was shining just right, the temperature of the air was refreshing, so I decided to take a walk around the tidal basin simply for my own enjoyment.
I’d had a really tough week – awaking to smoke filling my apartment in the middle of the night due to an overheated broken heater, had been staying in various hotels – moving every 1-2 days, and being ignored by the landlord for how to get everything fixed and cleaned. Because of that stressful week, taking time to enjoy being outside in one of my favorite places, taking in the majesty of nature felt magical and nourishing, more so than usual.
At the time I didn’t even have a print shop; I was taking these photos for my own pleasure and joy. And for that reason I love them so much and am that much more excited to share them with the world.
How to Bring Them Home
The DC cherry blossoms photos you see in this post are the images that are in the print shop. You can see them in all their glory and purchase prints, canvases, metal prints, framed prints, etc. by clicking here.
AND!! Guess what?! I’m also taking commissions! If there is a specific spot you want photos of or from, you can hire me to capture it and you’ll receive the digital files personally. If you’re interested in that, reach out here.
I hope my DC cherry blossoms photos bring you as much joy as they do me!
Did this post get you excited to book your own spring photo session?! If yes, send me a note and we can chat about what you have in mind: contact me
