HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
You know that saying, “this money is burning a hole in my pocket”? Well, these photos have been burning a hole in my hard drive! haha They are some of my favorites from last fall and I’m so excited to finally share Tisha and Eric’s Washington DC micro wedding photos!
Tisha and Eric are such a romantic, flirtatious, loving, sweet, quiet couple. And I was so honored to be the sole witness to their Washington DC micro wedding ceremony last fall.
Tisha and Eric made the most of their circumstances and embraced the whole quarantine situation for their Washington DC micro wedding. Since guests couldn’t safely or easily travel to town, they decided to get married just the two of them and make a romantic weekend out of it.
They rented an adorable little Airbnb in the city for their Washington DC micro wedding weekend, and it was the perfect spot to do Tisha’s details and getting ready photos. Behind the row house was a little garden where they had the sweetest little set up ready for a romantic dinner and cake cutting after their ceremony.
The love birds chose the DC War Memorial for their Washington DC micro wedding ceremony location because it’s a beautiful outdoor location and still somewhat secluded so they could enjoy privacy while they said their ‘I dos’. It’s my personal favorite outdoor ceremony space for an elopement, and this celebration just reenforced why I love it so much. We got some stunning photos!
There were so many romantic touches throughout the day, so I can only narrow it down to my top two fav moments instead of one! First, Eric hired a saxophone player to play music at the beginning and end of their ceremony as a surprise Tisha. How thoughtful is that?! AND after their ceremony, as the saxophone player played on, I suggested Tisha and Eric do an impromptu first dance. Swoon! These are some of my favorite photos ever because of the spontaneity and loving romantic energy of those moments.
It’s been a few months now and Tisha and Eric have celebrated their four month anniversary so far, but I’m still wishing them much happiness and love! Cheers!
