Jasmin and Tayler were looking to capture the love and emotion for their DC War Memorial wedding this past weekend, and as you can see in their photos, I think we accomplished that!
As soon as I approached Tayler and Jasmin (separately) just before their DC Memorial wedding kicked off, I knew they were excitedly and eagerly anticipating saying their ‘I dos’. Tayler was so attentive, and wanted to make sure everything was set up perfectly how Jasmin wanted it (I’d say he’s gonna make a pretty great husband just based on that!). And Jasmin was eager to make her way to their first look so she could finally see her hubby-to-be and show off her stunning wedding dress!
Jasmin and Tayler love the beautiful, classic architecture of the structure where they held their DC War Memorial wedding. And I don’t blame them – it’s my absolute favorite memorial or monument. I love how it’s secluded in Ash Woods, off the beaten path, and surrounded by trees. It’s a super romantic location and the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony!
Jasmin and Tayler were surrounded by their absolute closest friends and family for their DC War Memorial wedding. Tayler’s twin brother was even their officiant – how special is that?! He did a wonderful job; I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place! After their ceremony, a few of their guests took turns giving toasts, including Jasmin’s stepdad, who really had everyone boo-hooing!
After we captured some family photos (those stairs are now my fav place ever for social distanced family portraits!), we hopped out to the Mall to take some epic portraits for the newlyweds. I’ve never done wedding portraits on the National Mall, so that was a treat for me and I hope it was as special for Jasmin and Tayler.
Congratulations and best wishes, love birds!
