HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Lisa and Manny are basically trendsetters: instead of postponing their actual marriage until next year when they rescheduled their wedding, they decided to go ahead and have a Baltimore micro wedding – and say I do on their original wedding date!
Originally, this weekend was to be Lisa and Manny’s wedding weekend. When COVID struck and quarantine rules took over, they decided to postpone their big celebration until next year on the same weekend. Thankfully, I was available the day on which they postponed the wedding. A few weeks after getting those changes squared away, I got an email from Lisa saying they actually still wanted to honor their original wedding date this year, with a small ceremony at her parents’ house. I was excited to be their Baltimore micro wedding photographer this past Saturday for their official marriage ceremony!
You may remember these super photogenic love birds from their Kennedy Center engagement session last fall. You know – the one where they danced salsa?! And included their adorable pup, Barkley? Yep – that’s the one! It was fun getting to see them again this year for their Baltimore micro wedding. The fun thing is – the way it’s working out, I’ll get to see them three years in a row! Their engagement sesh was in 2019, their wedding ceremony in 2020, and their big celebration in 2021. That is definitely unique!
For their Baltimore micro wedding this past weekend, Lisa got to live out her original dream of getting married at her favorite place in the world: her childhood home. Lisa’s parents’ home and yard were the perfect places to host a wedding! Their home is beautiful and the yard was incredible – so vast, filled with different species of trees, lots of flowers, and lots of space.
Lisa and Manny included just their immediate families for their Baltimore micro wedding. Their friend, Cynthia from The Hunny Coordinators, helped plan an intimate ceremony in front of a lush, broad tree in the backyard, followed by a delish smelling dinner under a tent on the patio. The entire evening was so warm, sweet, and romantic. The perfect way for these two love birds to highlight their love for one another and celebrate with their closest loved ones.
Congratulations and best wishes, love birds! Until next year…
