Happy Monday y’all! I’m back with my Fun Monday posts, which I haven’t done in forever! I thought it was time to bring them back, and I’m excited to share the St. Mary’s City photos I took over the weekend.
Quarantine has indeed been a stressful time, and I don’t know about you, but I like to take any chance I can to get out of the house. I’m excited to start shooting again this week, so last week I got busy doing a lot of work to get caught up. That way I can hit the ground running once I get back in action. So it was nice to take the day off Saturday and take some St. Mary’s City photos with my boyfriend and pup.
We started out at Point Lookout and found a pet beach. Perfect for miss Milli! If you follow along on Instagram, you might’ve seen my stories where she was running around without a leash! That’s a rarity for this one because she has a tendency to 1. not listen and 2. run off. Bad combo for such a tiny creature who I love very much. I decided to train her to stay near me and it really worked! She listened really well and I feel better knowing she now knows how to stay nearby on the rare occasion she’s off leash.
Speaking of training, I’ve been teaching my boyfriend how to use my camera to take photos of me! haha Anytime we go anywhere, I always have a bunch of scenery photos, pics of him, photos of Milli, and none of myself! I decided that needed to change, so I’ve taught him how to use my camera. He’s very much into photography as well, but handling my beast of a camera plus all my weird settings is a lot! I did a little modeling on the beach and we got some decent St. Mary’s City photos in my full quarantine glory! haha Roots, no manicure, and no makeup 😛
After the beach we headed to the historic area for more St. Mary’s City photos. It was so quiet and peaceful! It was a gorgeous day (and really cold!) and the light was amazing <3 I just love the photos we took there. We followed paths, walked along the beach, and read many of the plaques telling us the history of the place. It was a lovely day, just what we both needed. I loved it there and would love to do a photo shoot in the area if anyone is up for it!
Same pic, just changed one setting! Left: 1/1000 f2 ISO 125 // Right: 1/1000 f5 ISO125
She looks so tiny!
I hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the weather as much as we did! Have a wonderful week ahead!
