HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
What’s the best way to celebrate your 10th dating anniversary?! By getting married! Woot woot! That’s just what Deirdre and Jake did last Friday for their Alexandria Virginia courthouse wedding.
Apparently in Virginia, you can’t get married inside a courthouse. Totally works for me! Those courthouse chapels leave a lot to be desired by way of aesthetics – haha! Sorry, but they do! I was totally happy to offer an alternative location to Deirdre and Jake when we discussed their Alexandria Virginia courthouse wedding.
The gazebo on the grounds of the Carlyle House was the perfect spot for Deirdre and Jake to say ‘I do!’ These two love birds were so loving and sweet with each other – just look at how they look at each other. There’s so much love there!
D & J had an officiant come over from the courthouse to perform their ceremony. The light in the gazebo was just perfect, which only enhanced the beauty of their sweet, romantic ceremony. My favorite part was when they exchanged the gold wedding bands they made themselves in an art class! Those rings are infused with so much love, I could tell!
After they said their I dos’, we made use of the beautiful winter garden in the back of the Carlyle House. I feel like winter gets a bad rap, but y’all just look at how gorgeous the greenery is! We even saw some roses in bloom, and the light – even though it was the middle of the day – was sparkling, soft, and dreamy.
Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds!
