What a labor of love it was putting together this best Washington D.C. wedding photography 2019 blog post! Being a Washington D.C. wedding photographer is so fun and fulfilling and I was reminded of that when gathering together images for this post.
It’s absolutely magical to look back on the year to see all of the beautiful images I was able to create with the help of so many talented, creative vendors and my wonderful #REHPlovebirds! It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day details of running a business and overlook celebrating each milestone or win. Compiling this best of Washington D.C. wedding photography post re-presenced me to the incredibly beautiful year of business I just experienced.
The images that follow aren’t just photographs, they’re documentation of my couples’ love. There was love put into every aspect of each wedding day I captured this year – from thoughtful planning that incorporated aspects of the couple’s life together; to the colors and florals that brought to life each day; to the electricity you can sense between each couple in their portraits; the laughter and joy you see in the wedding party photos – seeing how a group of friends supports a bride and/or groom on their wedding day. It’s all about love, and that is the number one reason I cherish this work.
Through this best Washington D.C. wedding photography 2019 post, I got to reminisce on celebrating so many wonderful couples! And re-live what it felt like to shoot at some dream venues, surrounded by stunning decor. I got to photograph my first ever Hindu wedding ceremony, which was such a wonderful experience! I had the honor of photographing three couples’ weddings within one group of friends this year! And I got to capture my friend Michelle saying ‘I do’ to her soul mate <3
From ten hour wedding days to sweet elopements, this was a wonderful year of weddings here at Rachel E.H. Photography. I appreciate each one of my couples and their trust in me to take care of them on one of the biggest days of their lives! Cheers to all of your love and I’m excited to see what 2020 brings!
Photos at the Carnegie Institute were taken while second shooting for Erin Tetterton Photography.
