HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

You guys, I hear a *lot* of love stories in my job, and not that I rank them or anything (everyone’s love story is beautiful and unique!) – but Kelsey and Zach’s love story is pretty inspiring! I’m excited to share it with you alongside their Daingerfield Island engagement photos!
Kelsey and Zach grew up together in Cape Cod and had crushes on each other while they worked together in an ice cream shop (best job ever?). Zach joined the Navy after high school and Kelsey went on to college. Fate brought them back together once again and this time they couldn’t resist! They finally got together just nine days before Zach deployed!
Once Zach returned from deployment he was stationed in the D.C. area, so Kelsey moved here to join him (yay!). They both really love their hometown and the beach in general, so they wanted to include a little beachy-ness in their engagement photos to have that feel of home while they’re so far away. I think we made it happen with these Daingerfield Island engagement photos!
Daingerfield Island has a special place in my heart and I’ve been wanting to do a photo shoot there for years now. I was excited to share this special spot with such a wonderful couple. I think the sailboats, the pier, and the teeny tiny beach (which high tide made even tinier!) created that Cape Cod, hometown feel for these two love birds.
What made Kelsey and Zach’s Daingerfield Island engagement photos even more poignant was the timing: Zach got word that he would be deploying and he left just two days after their session! I’m glad Kelsey has these photos to remind her of the goofy, playful fun they have tougher while he’s away <3
