HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Kattia and Uday’s Arlington Virginia courthouse wedding photos are totally reenforcing my love of elopements and my love for hosting photo sessions on Capitol Hill!
These two love birds were recently married during their Arlington Virginia courthouse wedding ceremony and I was there to capture that plus these gorgeous portraits for them in D.C. Kattia and Uday decided to tie the knot locally ahead of their multiple weddings in their respective home towns next year. They love living in D.C. and wanted to include visuals of the city in their wedding portraits. Capitol Hill seemed like the perfect fit!
What I loved most about this day was how Kattia and Uday stayed united and in sync during the first part of their day. When they arrived for their Arlington Virginia courthouse wedding, they were immediately told that the gentleman who was supposed to officiate their ceremony was hospitalized the day before! Things were kind of up in the air as to who would be marrying them, but these two stayed cool, calm, and collected as everything was figured out.
I’d say everything worked out just wonderfully for them, because the loveliest woman ended up doing their wedding ceremony! She had the cutest (photo friendly) little office and had really sweet words to say. It was one of the most touching courthouse ceremonies I’ve heard!
After their Arlington Virginia courthouse wedding, we Lyfted into the city for their love birds session. Kattia and Uday were so sweet with each other and taking photos of them was so easy! Between their natural ease in front of the camera, how they lovingly joked with each other throughout the session, and their stunning outfits, these photos turned out to be absolutely beautiful!
Congratulations and best wishes, love birds!
