Lauren and Chris are married! These two love birds said I do over the weekend and today I get to share their City Tavern Club wedding photos with you!
Lauren and Chris are seekers, as Lauren’s dad described them. Their life paths each lead them to travel to Asia, Taiwan to be exact, to experience the Taiwanese culture, learn the language, and generally do good things. It was there that the two met in a Brazilian jiu jitsu class, and as they say, the rest was history!
Last year Lauren’s parents were visiting in Asia and Chris thought it would be the perfect time to ask for Lauren’s father’s permission to propose! Lauren’s father of course said yes (Chris is a great guys after all), so Chris took it from there to propose to the love of his life!
Major kudos to these love birds, for planning a wedding from literally across the world! Lauren’s mom helped out a lot and got everything organized here on the U.S. side, and loved the City Tavern Club in the heart of Georgetown for the venue. They put together an absolutely stunning day, coordinating their City Tavern Club wedding to the club’s historic aesthetic. I loved the mix of white with bright, verdant greens! They all did a great job!
There were so many romantic moments throughout Lauren and Chris’ City Tavern Club wedding, and I think my favorite was Chris singing to Lauren while he played I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You on the guitar. Ahh… not a dry eye in the place! It doesn’t get more vulnerable or romantic than that!
Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds! May your life continue to be adventurous together!
Thank you to Lauren and Chris’s vendor team for creating a beautiful day for the newlyweds!

Truly a beautiful event and one of the loveliest weddings we have ever attended. Thanks for including us on your special day. We are honored to have been a part. Wishing you much love and happiness for many years to come. Love, Mary & Laszlo Balazs
Love love love! You did an amazing job capturing everything.
Thank you! And that’s wonderful you’re enjoying the photos!
Rachel,
Wonderful, beautiful pix. Although there is a song called Fools Rush In and “fools rush in” is in the lyric of the song Chris sang to Lauren, the actual title of that song was I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis (the King) Presley from the movie Blue Hawai’i. Thanks again for a terrific job.
Andrew Massman (uncle of the bride)
Thank you! I even googled it to make sure I was getting the name of the song correct; just goes to show you can’t trust everything on google! 😉
