You guys, I was so excited to take Emily and Joe’s Carlyle House engagement photos for so many reasons, and I’m just as excited to share them with you today!
Emily and Joe are a really sweet, genuine couple, and they live in Old Town s0 they wanted to do their engagement session there. And if you can believe it, after four years in business, I had never done an engagement session in the center of Old Town! I’ve done them at the Wilkes Street Tunnel a couple times, and I’ve done maternity and headshots in the center of Old Town, but never engagement photos. Plus they brought their adorable, affable dog, Patch. So yep, I was a pretty happy camper for these Carlyle House engagement photos!
So not only do Emily and Joe live in Old Town, they also had their first date there! Their first date was at Blackwall Hitch, so we made sure to take some photos there as well as at the waterfront. Other than that, these two love birds wanted to incorporate the Old Town feel, so I thought we should definitely include Town Hall and Carlyle House.
Another thing that is awesome about this pair is they are so laid back! As soon as we got to Old Town, dark clouds started rolling in. It put a little extra urgency in my mind, but Emily, Joe, and their pup, Patch, were happy to go with the flow. We actually got in a full hour before the rain started, so Mother Nature’s timing was perfect! And the bonus was they got some really cool stormy skies in the background of a bunch of their images!
It was beautiful to see how love is really at the center of life with Emily and Joe, and I think we were able to capture that in their Carlyle House engagement photos!
Congratulations and best wishes, love birds!
