Ahhh I am so in love with these spring National Arboretum engagement photos! I don’t know what I like best – the much-in-love, smily, silly couple in the photos, or the magical location, or how dedicated these two were to creating a truly wonderful engagement session. How do I choose?! Oh wait, I don’t have to. I can love it all!
As I spoke to Courtney and Jeremy over the phone to plan their spring National Arboretum engagement session, they slowly started migrating towards the idea of having their session take place at the National Arboretum. And you know I was more than OK with that!
Once I started looking into it, a potential issue arose regarding this spring National Arboretum engagement photos session: the Arboretum isn’t open during magic hour in the spring (major bummer!). Courtney and Jeremy were dedicated to having their session take place at the Arboretum, and dedicated to having the best possible photos, so shooting during magic hour was important to them. I found out we could hire security to be there after hours so that we could shoot there after they closed, and Courtney and Jeremy were happy to do it!
The benefit of shooting after hours of course is that there was no one else in the entire park!!! (I feel like that sentence needs like a million more exclamation points haha!) Having no one else around made this session that much more romantic, more special, and a heck of a lot easier for me not having to crop out people from the frame!
Add to that magic the fact that Courtney and Jeremy looked stunning in their fabulous, coordinating outfits (that royal blue against the white columns and the magenta redbud trees?! OMG…), and the fact that they were so cute together and easy to photograph? Well these spring National Arboretum engagement photos are some of my absolute favorite of all time!
Best wishes and congratulations, Courtney and Jeremy!
Thanks to Carla Pressley for Courtney’s beautiful and natural looking makeup and sweet little up ‘do for her spring National Arboretum engagement photos!
