One thing I’m learning this season is that cherry blossoms will brighten up even the dreariest of days! Well, cherry blossoms and brilliant, joyful clients will do that too! The gorgeous kwanzan cherry blossoms and Mary’s beautiful smile brightened up a cloudy Sunday afternoon during her Washington D.C. graduation photos session earlier this month.
Mary is about to be a nursing graduate from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, and she was looking to commemorate and celebrate her big accomplishment with some spring inspired, bright and light Washington D.C. graduation photos. And you guys, D.C. did not disappoint! Luckily, Mary’s session was scheduled during the kwanzan cherry blossom peak bloom (kwanzan cherry blossoms are those super fluffy, bright pink blossoms) so we got to include lots of flowery goodness in Mary’s Washington D.C. graduation photos.
Mary has wanted to be a nurse since even before she was a teenager and has been working towards her dream ever since. After graduation she’ll be embarking on a new adventure with her move out of state for a nurse residency program. I’m hoping these photos – especially the ones with her stethoscope! – will take her far in the pursuit of her dreams.
Getting to work with Mary to plan her Washington D.C. graduation photos was so much fun! Mary wanted to do her session where there were lots of flowers around to really evoke the feeling of spring when she’ll officially be graduating. It was a challenge to find the perfect spot where we could shoot during magic hour (lots of the actual gardens in the area aren’t open during magic hour in the spring and summer… womp womp), but I managed to track down the most beautiful little park that worked out so well for Mary’s photos.
Congratulations, Mary! Best wishes on your next adventure and beyond!
