When you propose to your girlfriend in an an amazing, majestic location such as Yosemite (!!!), you could probably rest on those brownie points for months – at least until your wedding! But not George! George wasn’t settling for Yosemite proposal brownie points – he went the extra mile and did Belle Haven Park engagement photos with his new fiancee just a couple months after his proposal. He’s pretty much at rockstar status at this point!
Angela and George met while they were in college at George Mason University (go Patriots! That was my high school mascot!). They love doing outdoorsy, adventures things together, so I was excited to get out and find them a picturesque yet outdoors focused location for their engagement session last week.
Their Belle Haven Park engagement photos may not exactly be on par with Yosemite (I mean, can you really top that?!), but I was excited to find this gorgeous, lush, waterfront location for these two outdoorsy love birds. We started the evening at Belle Haven Park last Friday and we totally lucked out with the weather! It was beautiful, and we made it just in time because it has rained pretty much 24-7 since then!
Angela and George were super fun to hang out with, and I could tell just how in love they are and excited to get married! We made our way over to our second location – the boardwalk over Dyke Marsh. Angela and George were such troopers! I gave them a rundown of two poses I wanted them to do, then had them walk to the boardwalk by themselves while I hustled down GW Parkway so that I could position myself across the marsh from where they were on the boardwalk. They nailed the poses without even being able to hear me, which resulted in one gorgeous magic hour image! So proud of them! And so grateful they were down to try out my crazy idea! haha
Thank you to Angela and George for being fun to hang out with and congratulations and best wishes on your engagement!!
