Happy Monday friends! I’m hitting the ground running after a beautiful weekend full of relaxation, taking photos, and enjoying the great outdoors! It’s a holiday week so I’ll be enjoying a day or a day and a half off, but most of this week will be spent working – doing what I love!
I actually started my weekend off on Friday! I worked a little in the morning and then headed out to Herndon to visit with my friend, Alexis. We stopped in to a local crystals shop, Crystalis. We wandered the incense filled store, perusing the various crystals, reading all about what they do, and purchased more than our fair share. I’m so excited to put them to work! After that, we headed to her pool. It was hot but not humid, and we stayed until they closed at sundown. It was truly the perfect way to kick off the beautiful weekend!
Saturday, again I did some work in the morning, before riding out to Catlett, Virginia, with my friend, Grace, to enjoy more of the beautiful weekend. Grace asked me to go take photos with her – um, do you even have to ask?! We found a lavender farm, which ended up being the perfect mid-day backdrop for all of our photo taking. I came home with like six sprigs of lavender but over a hundred photos! haha Typical! I’m actually going to do a blog post with some of the images, but for now, here are a few sneak peeks.
Sunday I met up with a new wedding couple (yay!) and then headed to Potomac Overlook Regional Park to take photos for my session that got rained out last weekend. It was super hot and humid. We were all pretty much drenched! We made quick work of getting the photos we needed and then parted ways to our respective air conditioned cars to cool off! But check out this adorable little William who was the perfect baby during his shoot!
Check back Thursday for that post on the lavender farm! And have a happy 4th of July!!
